Swan's & Hare's Oh My!

Just a quick little post

to tell you of my recent wares...

They took forever to get here,

but who cares!

Well worth the wait in seconds, minutes, hours,

Others just can't compare.

Eshakti has me trying my hand at poetry. I love them so much.

I ordered my two items April 27th and they just arrived yesterday...

I have been kinda upset and bummed about my order not getting here but it's a happy dance when it does!

I don't care they were late and I didn't have the blouse for the event I needed it for. Truth be told the

event was a bust and I am excited to find new places to wear these two blouses out to...

I ordered a swan print pussy bow blouse and a rabbit print pussybow blouse.

LOVE!

Plus they refund money for being late!

Putting The Skinny In Skinny!

Thanks to everyone who gave me encouragement to accomplish my goals in the last post! I really appreciate it.
I will be getting over to your blogs as soon as I have a half second....
I'm not even going to apologize for not blogging in awhile because it's bound to happen again. I set my mind and goals to blog at least 3days a week and then something happens to keep me from it.
I've been uninspired lately because my closet to a dive! Yep! it couldn't bear the weight of all my thrifted finds anymore and broke right out of the wall. I fixed it twice and twice it fell again...then I went to Sutherland's and spent a 100.00 bucks and really FIX it! yippy!

So in the meantime I was just wearing what was on top...or recently what the kids bought me for Mother's day; more skinny jeans and this time blue! These are a size 16 and abit BIG! I think when I wash them they will shrink...I had to take back and exchange my YELLOW pair that I bought on the $40.00 challenge because I've lost weight. My daughter commented the other day "Mom you lose weight fast when you want to." and thinking about it I guess I do...that and put on weight fast. I don't ever just gain a few vanity pounds...No, I gain 65 or 70 lbs and quick!
I don't have any scales in the house to tell if I've lost but I can tell from the way my clothing is fitting and the fact that my Bra's all are slipping off the shoulder and the cup size is way to big now...ugh! the first thing to go you know!
I'm debating on buying a scale. I don't want to obsess about if I've lost or not. I just want to be healthy! and buying a scale I might be tempted then discouraged by the results...I don't know!

I have definitely gained muscle and my extra weight seems to be shifting to my mid section! I don't think that is possible but whatever! it's seems to be happening to me.

I am in the market for a new treadmill as I bought the one in the pictures below for 60.00 at Goodwill and it's belt is stretched and has become dangerous...wonder if you can buy replacement belts...hmmm
So that's a bummer as I have already gotten in the habit of using it everyday and now I can't!

A Dog Named Mr. Plate...

Yesterday I had alot to accomplish with very little time. I mean 24hr days just aren't enough hours in a day in my world. I woke up really early and started my crock pot with the evenings meal. It looks weird in this pictures but by 6pm will be a a nice tender, falling apart roast with thick gravy & potatoes and carrots. There are actually two roast in that pot (large family and all) I will add the carrots a few hrs before it's done (slow cooking and all) I love the gravy because it's full of chunks of tender meat, the potatoes that may have fallen apart and bits of carrot and we use it to put over the potatoes.

Since the day was to be a long one in the car running errands and then the evening filled with the kids sports activities I wanted to be comfortable. I dragged the oldest out of bed and we headed out to H &R block to get our and his taxes done. I decided to wear my asos curve dress that's been hanging in my closet waiting for an appearance. I couldn't find a slip so I opted for capri leggings, my thrifted mustard yellow bag to give some contrast to the black and white. I had a pair of mustard yellow shoes on but for some reason my SON has a negative effect when he see mustard yellow and he shook his head and said "please don't wear those shoes!" the fashion maven that he is ya know? I mean we might run into someone he knows with his mom wearing mustard yellow flats OH NO! LOL....

My son took this picture right before we walked out the door. I was just stirring! promise!
I wanted to see if my makeup looked ok....
This is the "puppy" who is big enough to reach the dirty dishes and has broken many of my favorite plates already.
He has become my Best Buddy! and I LOVE this DOG! He crept into my Heart and for some reason took a liking to ME even amongst my PROTEST....What can I say? being fully admired is flattering....LOL
I've discovered I prefer DOG to PEOPLE!
I was going to get a bumper sticker that says " Dogs are People Too!" but I didn't want to INSULT my DOGS! lol......

Great Things Happen At 6pm--

Have you ever shopped at 6pm.com? Last week I ordered these Bearpaw leopard print boots from their online site and couldn't be happier! Super fast shipping and easy navigating site make for one Happy customer. I believe they are owned by Zappo's. I found lots of things besides footwear that I wanted but resisted the urge to splurge. They did have a Betsey Johnson (SP?) rainbow leopard print ring I was drooling over though...drooling not buying!
Anyway...6pm is quickly becoming my NEW favorite online store...still a close second to asos.

Other than my new boots, this outfit is nothing amazing. But if I waited to post only amazing outfits it might be awhile before I post again...:)

Modern & Edgy (for me)

I'm in LOVE with this seller homako.etsy.com on etsy. She makes wonderful, modern felt & fabric, wood jewelry. I ordered this black wooden triangle necklace and I am so thrilled. Wonderful attention to detail and beautiful craftsmanship. The packaging was really cute too!! So I paired my new necklace with a thrifted yummy sand color top that I paid maybe $1.99 for. I really like this outfit. I feel modern and edgy with the simple color palette and the edgy accessories. I'm loving my zip ankle crops from Fashion bug and I think it helps add to the modern feel of this outfit.  It's super comfortable and a fashion inspiration taken from fashionHayley.com. Check out her blog if you get a chance. I have admired how she adds bold accessories to a neutral color palette for some time and wanted to try it myself.

LOVE in the rain--

So I took this picture while waiting in the car for my husband to finish fishing. I tagged along with him to his favorite fishing hole when a short time later it began pouring rain. When I started to see lightning I hurried with all the hubz extra fishing gear to the car and what else is there to do beside write words in the fog?

Let me start by saying NO! I am not Pregnant! In case your wondering.
I realize I look prego but hey it's a cool dress to wear on a really hot day and I like the subtle boho look to it.  I went thrift shopping real quick last week on my way home from errands (ran in and ran out) because the kids waited in the steamy car (their choice) I found this for $1.99 and a few other pieces.

Not All Roses--

I really love to put modern and vintage pieces together. Today I decided to wear a skirt my Mom sent me, but I've not got around to wearing. It's a cute floral print that buttons all the way down. I've always admired other bloggers who put turquoise and red together and I've wanted to try that combination myself. I accessorized with pops of red, even adding a red daisy scarf to my vintage bag. I'm off to the library then grocery store.
