Sick as the Dog--

OMG! as my daughter likes to say. I've been sick AS THE DOG. Yep! sick as the dog because the puppy and I are sick with different ailments but ailments all the same. First the hubz came home from a business trip with a cold and gave it to everyone in the entire house. Then if that wasn't bad enough the  head cold turned into something more; the flu. I pride myself on rarely getting sick and I tell you what, I've spent the last few days in BED with the hubz taking over mommy duties and to his credit trying his best but failing miserably.

I had no choice considering the spasms in my stomach that had me thinking I needed to go to the hospital for a gall bladder or something like it. The 103 temp, cough, snotting nose, chills, bone and body aches UGH! not to mention each of the kids have taken turns with the same symptoms. We've had to monitor each one, let them stay home from school and fill them up with chicken noodle soup, sprite, NyQuil, cough drops and Ibuprofen. I tried to handle it all myself but eventually because I'm sicker than all of them combined, my body shut down and I've been in bed crying my eyes out worrying about the kids who my husband assures me are all taken care of.

In the mist of all this cold and flu, as I lay in bed trying to shake the chills all the while sweating until I had to change my clothes I heard growls and barks and whimpers...the end result being an emergency run to the on call, night time vet because our German Shepard dog attacked our German Shepard puppy and about took his eye out! When it rains it pours! I've about had it and between feeling little bits better and trying to function I've been bleaching the entire house, removing sheets and extra bleaching the bathrooms trying to get rid of this crappy virus! So far today I'm doing slightly better the scare of the puppy attack snapped me maybe into feeling better! all kids attended school this morning and I'm officially out of NyQuil...

On a more positive note my ebay store did really well last week. Everything but 1 item sold. I am happy about this because ebay was starting to get on my nerves and I gave up for a long, long time on even trying to sell anything on it. Between ebay and etsy I had 8 orders waiting. When this happens it gives me hope that I can build & grow a business instead of working for someone else. My husband still thinks it's a little hobby of mine which drives me to insanity but eventually I will show him just how BIG my hobby is! lol

A few things I'm working on for my shops & to keep myself (if they fit)

  4. I hope you get better soon! We're in the process of moving and I have at least 5 trash bags labeled "sell on ebay". I've really gotten behind with it as of late. Glad your sales went well!

  6. I like that dress! Sounds like you have been through it! Glad to hear you are on the mend. Eight orders sounds exciting. I keep toying with the idea. Do you like Ebay or Etsy the best or do you advise doing both? Debbie http://thriftygirlvintage.com
